Background

Keith was born to a Thanalan alchemist and a La Noscea "Fisher". He spent his early years living in La Noscea until his father was lost at sea. Due to this tragedy his mother was forced to move back to Thanalan in order to have more support to help raise her son on her own. While in growing up in Thanalan, he started to train to become a Sultansworn. Once he had finished his training and was of age to travel he ended up refusing to to join the Sultansworn due to personal reasons and returned to La Noscea.Once Keith returned to La Noscea, he met up with one of his father's old friend, A Roegadyn Storm Captain in the Maelstrom Fleet. Under the wing of the old Roegadyn, Keith learned how to sail, navigate, and fight on the high seas. Combine with his training as a Sultansworn, his contribution to any ship was valuable. When he finally joined the Maelstrom, The Captain who trained was quick to request him to join his crew The Putrid Malboro. Keith would agree to join without hesitation, but even with being requested to join. Like all new recruits to the crew they had to pass a test to be deemed worthy of being part of the crew. The test was simple, but extremely dangerous, even for a veteran adventurer. It required the recruit or recruits to be stranded on one of two islands that use to be Sharlayan research outposts before being abandon during the forced Sharlayan exodus of Eorzea. The islands were renamed Island closest to Heaven, and the Island closest to Hell. These islands no long over run with deadly creatures mainly a very hardy variant of the Malboro. All recruits would be placed on the island with enough supplies for one day, and have to survive a week one one of the two islands living off the land.Keith being confidant if not overly so, would take to the test with a reckless enthusiasm. He would last six days without much trouble. On the final night of his stay on the Island closest to Hell, He would encounter a battle scarred Malboro the crew named Old Cappy. Old Cappy got it's scars when the Captain was exploring the island to see if he could make use of it, but was not able to kill Old Cappy in their encounter. Since then all recruits where warned to avoid Old Cappy, but for those who were foolish enough to seek glory and try to slay Old Cappy met their end soon after.Keith being overly confinant and the test being nearly over. He would try and warn his fellow recruits who had been with him on this test, to only find out it was to late as other predators who lurked around Old Cappy to pick off any who try to flee. Would attack and gorge themselves any recruit who would blindly run away, letting bloody screams as they are mauled in the dark shadows of the night. The few including Keith upon seeing what was happening released they had to fight Old Cappy or run out and hope they can fend themselves from predators that lay in wait for them to run. Without much warning Old Cappy would belch out a putrid breath catching a few recruits of guard as then fall to the ground slowly succumbing to the breath. The confidences Keith once had now whisked away from his body, and begins to panic slowly trying to escape to where he and any recruits who do survive the test can row out on a rowboat and board the Putrid Malboro. As the recruits near the beach they catch glimpse of the sun rising on the horizon, and its luminous rays casting onto the ambush creatures forcing them to retreat back to once were came. Old Cappy was on the other hand not deturbed by the sun rise as it makes it's way to the beach following the recruits. On the beach was a few veteran crew members waiting to pick them up as they catch sight of Old Cappy and start yelling for the recruits to hurry along the beach as quickly as they can. In their haste Keith would trip over a nearly depleted case of aether left behind by the Sharlayan's long ago. Before Keith could gather his thoughts, he would find himself wrapped around one of the scarred tentacles of Old Cappy. Keith would quickly reaches for anything to stop Old Cappy from claiming him as a meal. Grabbing the metal case he tripped up on he would start pounding the tentacle harder and harder as it slowly starts squeezing and crushing his bones in his body. With one last desperate attempt he would hit the tentacle once more, causing the the stagnate aether to react and explode sending shrapnel and blasts of pure aether into Old Cappy and Keith. Old Cappy being harmed by tosses Keith mangled body aside and retreats back into the island. Keith would not recall what happened after that, but after being comatose for 2 weeks he would wake up his faces scared from the shrapnel, and his left eye blinded by the unstable aether fusing into it. After his recovery he would be one of the last recruits to take part in the island tests, and a new recruitment ritual was made dubbed 'Sailor's Bad Breath.'After joining the Putrid Malboro, Keith would work his way up the ranks until the day his captain would pass on the duties of captain to Keith with full support of his crew. Even with the duties of a captain, It was not the rank of Storm Captain. It would take him some more time before being granted the rank, along with the duties it carries.Currently Keith looks back at what he has done with his devotion to the Grand Company and wonders what is out there for him to seek now.

Datacenter: Primal – BehemothTimezone: PST ( -8 GMT)I'm seeking RP where I can find it, may it be short term, or long term. I'm open for to most ideas, and be willing to brain storm setups, but I tend to like to have RP flow naturally over having a set storyline. If interested feel free to message me in game or in discord.
